Brentwood Neighborhood Association's Reverse Trick or Treat Event
Many parents in the Brentwood Neighborhood Association's service area are concerned about possible COVID19 exposure risks connected to Trick or Treating this Halloween. With this in mind, Mert Seaton, Treasurer, and other Brentwood Neighborhood Association officers and members, developed and organized a safe and socially distanced Reverse Trick or Treating event.
If you are not comfortable sending your kids house-to-house this Halloween, we will come to you!
How it Will Work
Association members will prepare safe grab-and-go candy bags for kids who are playing it safe and not going out to Trick or Treat this year. Families within the Association’s service area may sign up for a drive by candy delivery. Neighborhood volunteers will meet on Halloween and form a car line going to houses of those families who have registered, and safely hand out candy to kids in their own front yards. The Brentwood Neighborhood Association will provide baskets for each volunteer to hang outside their cars so kids can safely retrieve their candy without chance of exposure. The grab-and-go candy bags will be placed in the basket attached to each car before each house so kids will not be touching bags that have been touched by others.
How to Participate
If you would like the Brentwood Neighborhood Association Reverse Trick or Treating Car Line to stop by your house, please complete the form below or you may contact Mert Seaton at 920-5265. Participants receiving candy delivery must live in the Brentwood Neighborhood Association service area (Sunshine (Northern Boundary), Glenstone (Western Boundary), Battlefield (Southern Boundary), and Lone Pine (Eastern Boundary). Participants must sign up by October 24.
How to Volunteer
Volunteers are needed for this event to be successful. We need a number of volunteers to be part of the car line and hand out the candy for our neighborhood children. The Brentwood Neighborhood Association will provide the candy and baskets for each car. We are encouraging all volunteers to get in the Halloween spirit by decorating their vehicles, dressing up or playing Halloween themed music while delivering the candy. All volunteers are required to wear gloves and masks which can be provided if needed. To volunteer, complete the "Volunteer" form or contact Mert Seaton at 920-5265.
Volunteers will meet a 4:30pm, at a location to be announced. Candy delivery will start at 5:00pm
