BRENTWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING
APRIL 18, 2023
All 7 Board Members (Mert Seaton, Brent Rinker, Jane Augstine, Lisa Meeks, Amy Hunsaker-Williams, Chris Schulze, Jeremy Ennis) attended.
Before meeting started, Treasurer let us know that the table & chair guy did deposit check in March.
Mert opened the meeting by telling about some issues with online memberships; but we are up to 58 members.
Cindy did a few things that others needed to take over from her:
1. Updating websites – will ask at the next meeting if anyone has the ability to do coding & update the site.
2. There were multiple domain names being held & paid for by Cindy. Motion made to just keep the current domain name. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
3. Run Mail Chimp – Brent Rinker will take that over.
4. Updates for Springfield Neighborhood News - Amy Hunsaker-Williams will take that over.
5. Update Facebook pages - Amy Hunsaker-Williams will help with that.
6. Work with Michael on ordering new signs & banners with the new logo - Chris Schulze will do that.
Neighborhood Summit Meeting gave rules about how Board Members are to behave. We are to look the rules over. Amy questioned if handing out flyers was OK? Discussion about making sure the Board had approved the flyers before handing them out.
Membership did not want to adopt a street; but did want to do street cleaning. Discussion on can we do street cleaning and/or helping neighbors repair & clean things. Motion made to let the members decide how we want to get involved in clean ups. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
Next meeting agenda topics were discussed. Motion to let Zach head up the Neighborhood Watch part of the meeting. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
Motion to move the May meeting up to May 22. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
Discussion on what Commitees should be doing, & that we need to keep minutes of what is discussed.
Social (Amy & Jeremy) – thinking of 4 events so far; starting on June 1st with a food truck event at Fields Elementary. Need to discuss at meeting. Motion to move forward in looking into putting it on. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
Membership (Lisa & Jane) – Get flyer to hand out door to door; & also make something for realators to give out to those moving in.
Business (Brent & Chris) – How to get businesses involved with the Neighborhood Association – membership card for business discounts? welcome basket with member business info in it?
Motion to have future Board meetings on the Tuesday before the regular Monday meeting. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
Sunday is kickball tournament. Update on Treasurer’s report. Motion to adjourn. Seconded, & passed unanimously.
