BRENTWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION GENERAL MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 26, 2026
There were 11 attendees (with no speakers); & including 7 Board members - Brent Rinker, Chris Schulze, Amy Hunsaker-Williams, Lisa Meeks, Jane Augustine, Michael Gugliotta, Traci Phelps.
SPEAKERS – Couldn’t make it to the meeting
Motion to approve October minutes. Seconded; & unanimously approved.
Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Seconded; & unanimously approved
UPDATES
NAC Meeting Update
Neighborhood Works Ideas must be turned in by January 31st
ie. Speed Bumps or Street Lights. 350 ideas turned in so far
Neighborhood Watch Group - 1st Meeting Will Be Announced Soon
Queen City Preservation sent an email about helping to preserve anything pre-1970
MO Prairie Foundation was sent a letter of recommendation. They are going to turn the back lot of Brentwood Church into a walking path & community garden.
OLD BUSINESS
Update on getting koozies for summer event
NEW BUSINESS
Amy checked into our tax status, & found that we did not refile as a non-profit corporation. We do not currently have a status. A committee was formed to figure out how to fix this tax issue.
Planet Unity Earth Day - Motion to purchase a table at the event on Sat. 4/18 for $50. Seconded; & unanimously approved
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Various ideas on how to participate in Neat Neighborhoods this year; including keeping track of everything done – including planning meetings – to better the neighborhood. Possibly picking a day of cleaning, like “Tidy Tuesday”
Town Hall for Zone 4 on Febuary 24, 6:30-8:30 at Cowden Elementary
Request for speaker ideas.
